Melamine water reducer (also known as melamine based water reducer) is a highly efficient water reducer mainly composed of sulfonated melamine formaldehyde resin. It has the characteristics of high water reduction rate, early strength, and non air entraining, and is widely used in the fields of cement concrete and dry powder mortar.  
Main components and characteristics
The main component is sulfonated melamine formaldehyde resin, which is in the form of white powder, with a solid content of ≥ 95%, a moisture content of ≤ 3%, a pH value of 7-9, and a recommended dosage of 0.5% to 1.0% of the cement dosage.

Product Application

1.Refractory materials: used for refractory concrete, castables, etc., to enhance compressive strength and density;
2.Building mortar: improve the workability and impermeability of self leveling flooring and waterproof mortar;
3.Special concrete: used for pumping concrete, colored concrete, and repairing mortar

Technical principles and comparative advantages
Chemical mechanism: Sulfonated melamine condenses with formaldehyde to form a linear polymer, which provides electrostatic repulsion through the sulfonic acid group (- SO), causing the molecular chain to stretch and generate steric hindrance.
Compared with naphthalene based water reducers, it has better high temperature resistance (suitable for steam curing process), but the slump loss is faster and the production cost is higher.

Storage conditions
1.Environmental requirements
Dry and ventilated storage is required, avoiding humid environments, and the temperature should not exceed 40 ºC.  
Avoid direct sunlight and high temperature stacking.  

2.Sealing requirements
Powder should be sealed and stored to prevent moisture absorption and clumping.  

3.Validity period
The shelf life of powders is generally 12 months, and it is recommended to use up liquids as soon as possible after opening.
